Thro' the night of doubt and sorrow
Onward goes the pilgrim band,
Singing songs of expectation,
Marching to the Promised Land.

Clear before us, thro' the darkness,
Gleams and burns the guiding light,
Brother clasps the hand of brother,
Stepping fearless thro' the night.

One the light of God's own presence,
O'er His ransomed people shed,
Chasing far the gloom and terror,
Bright'ning all the path we tread;

One the object of our journey,
One the faith which never tires,
One the earnest looking forward,
One the hope our God inspires.

One the strain the lips of thousands
Lift as from the heart of one;
One the conflict, one the peril,
One the march in God begun;

One the gladness of rejoicing
On the far eternal shore,
Where the one almighty Father
Reigns in love forevermore.

Onward, therefore, pilgrim brothers!
Onward, with the cross our aid!
Bear its shame and fight its battle
Till we rest beneath its shade.

Soon shall come the great awaking,
Soon the rending of the tomb,
Then the scat'ring of all shadows,
And the end of toil and gloom.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through Him might believe. He was not that light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

That light was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name; which were born, not of blood, or of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1-14

As did John the Baptist, the congregations of the OLCC bear witness to that Light, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, preaching whole truth of His Word.

Welcome to our web site, representing independent Lutheran Congregations which have declared themselves to be in doctrinal agreement.

Our fellowship has no official organizational structure. We are united in adherence to the Word of God and to the Lutheran Confessions, which are a faithful exposition and formulation of the doctrines of Scripture in all their parts.
